GUIMARAES, Portugal (September 12, 2024) – After Day 1 of competition, U.S. pairs and groups are on track to qualify to finals at the 2024 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions in Portugal.

Ossolodkov brothers, women’s trio on top in 13-19

Following dynamic qualifications on Thursday, the men’s pair of Yaroslav and Vsevolod Ossolodkov (Beaumont, Calif./Incentive – AGT) and the women’s group of Lily Eisenberg (Bethesda, Md.), Cate Lacy (Columbia, Md.) and Cecelia Shadrick (Ellicott City, Md.) of Emilia’s Acro Gymnastics and Cheer currently sit atop their divisions in the all-around. The Ossolodkovs scored a 28.100 to rank first, while Eisenberg, Lacy and Shadrick did the same with a 28.000.

The women’s trio of Phylisha Pham (San Jose, Calif./Aerial Tumbling and AcroGymnastics), Kaylee Osorio (San Jose, Calif./Aerial Tumbling and AcroGymnastics) and Alison Lam (Gilroy, Calif./Aerial Tumbling and AcroGymnastics) also performed a dynamic routine and are currently 17th in the all-around rankings with a 26.630.

Americans in the 12-18 top 10

The 12-18 mixed pairs and women’s groups performed balance routines on Day 1 to sit within the top 10. The women’s trios of Roni Azerrad (Rockville, Md./Xtreme Acro, Isabella Collazo (Great Falls, Va./Xtreme Acro) and Audrey Wang (North Potomac, Md./Xtreme Acro), and Maddy Hunt (Crownsville, Md./International Elite), Avery Puleo (Arnold, Md./International Elite) and Anna Sullivan (Brookeville, Md./International Elite) were seventh (27.310) and 10th (26.750), respectively in their division all-around. Among the mixed pairs, Rylee Cummins (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT) and George Yeramishyn (Riverside, Calif./Incentive – AGT) are currently seventh with a 26.100.

The U.S. men’s pair of Radomir Ossolodkov (Beaumont, Calif./Incentive – AGT) and Neko Sullivan (Perris, Calif./Incentive – AGT) rank fourth all-around with a 27.050 after dynamic qualifications.

Also in action were Layla Lugo (Chandler, Ariz./Aspire Kids Sports Center) and Tyler Berg (Phoenix, Ariz./ Aspire Kids Sports Center) who placed 16th with a 23.290 after their balance performance.

The event continues Wednesday, September 13 with Sydney Padios (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT), Willow Noble (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT), Hailee Wong (Colton, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy), Andrew Castro (Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy), Maya Lissenkova (Las Vegas, Nev./AGC Las Vegas), Bernice Moshos (Las Vegas, Nev./AGC Las Vegas), Emma Oregel (San Antonio, Texas/Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio) and Giana Johnson (San Antonio, Texas/ Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio) taking the floor for the first time. The 12-18 mixed pairs and women’s groups will return to compete their second qualification routines.
