MEDELLIN, Colombia (May 22, 2026) – American athletes went 1-2 in both men’s and women’s individual trampoline competition on Day 1 of the 2026 Pan American Championships in Colombia.

2025 World trampoline silver medalist Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) took the title in men’s competition Friday with a 61.540, followed by teammate Aliaksei Shostak (Lafayette, La./Trampoline and Tumbling Express), who won silver with a 60.280. Argentina’s Santiago Ferrari was third with a 59.700.

On the women’s side, Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) clinched the trampoline title with a 55.190 and Leah Garafalo (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) took silver with a 55.010. Camilla Lopes Gomez of Brazil rounded out the top three with a 54.930.

In qualifications, Elijah Vogel (Longmont, Colo./Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics) finished fourth (58.180) in men’s competition and was unable to advance to finals due to the two-per-country rule. Trevor Harder (Archdale, N.C./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy) landed close behind him in seventh with a 57.100. On the women’s side, Ava DeHanes (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) placed eighth with a 52.660 and Sarah Webster (Valley View, Texas/Trampoline and Tumbling Express) scored a 25.160.

Trampoline action continues Saturday, May 23 with men’s and women’s synchronized trampoline qualifying and final rounds at 9:40 a.m. ET. Competition in Colombia will stream live on the UPAG-PAGU YouTube channel.
