SANTA TECLA, ESA (May 17, 2025) – U.S. athletes claimed two spots in Sunday’s synchronized trampoline final during competition Saturday evening at the 2025 Pan American Championships in El Salvador.

The American duos of Clare Bretscher (Huntsville, Ala./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Avery Kroeker (Franklin, Tenn./North Valley Gymnastics), and Ryan Maccagnan (Colorado Springs, Colo./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Elijah Vogel (Longmont, Colo./Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics) each claimed a spot in their respective final rounds set for Sunday. Bretscher and Kroeker qualified to the women’s synchro final with the third-highest score of the evening with a 44.540. The pair of Leah Garafalo (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) and Kennedi Roberts (North Richland Hills, Texas/Southlake Gymnastics Academy) landed just behind them in fourth with a 44.210 but did not advance due to the limit of one pair per country in the final.

Maccagnan and Vogel will compete in the men’s final after qualifying in second with a 48.660. The second U.S. men’s pair of Cody Gesuelli (Middletown, N.J./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Lourens Willekes (Rockford, Mich./Gymnastics Central) landed eighth in qualifying with a 21.410 and will also not advance due to the one-per-country limit.

Sunday’s synchro final begins at 12:30 p.m. ET, and the 2025 Senior Pan American Championships will conclude with team final competition beginning at 2:40 p.m. ET. Competition will continue to stream on the UPAG PAGU YouTube channel and live scoring can be found here.
