ANTWERP, Belgium, April 5, 2018 – Competition is underway at the 2018 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competition in Antwerp, Belgium. Held at Lotto Arena, the USA earned top-10 finishes in both the 11-16 men’s group and women’s pair events, placing fourth and sixth, respectively. The 12-18 and 13-19 age groups will kick off their competition on Sunday, April 8, with finals contested on Tuesday, April 10.

The U.S. pairs/groups that qualified to finals are listed below. This list will continue to be updated as the competition continues in Antwerp.

Thursday, April 5

  • Men’s group – 11-16: Ethan Chang, Devon Freed, Samuel Lacy, Cade Shields, all of Emilia’s Acro Gymnastics and Cheer, 26.100, fourth place.
  • Women’s pair – 11-16: Camila Hernandez and Makena Ludeman, both of Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio, 26.900, sixth place.
