The Volkov Cup, an international acrobatic gymnastics competition, took place May 8-10 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Brian Kincher and Nicky Faubert, of West Coast Training Center in Livermore, Calif., a senior elite mixed pair, were competing in their first international competition together and earned a bronze medal scoring 84.584 overall. Faubert said, Aca A I am really happy. We got our two best scores ever!Aca A Kincher is from Fort Collins, Colo., and Faubert is from Danville, Calif.

The senior elite women’s trio of Savannah Shields, Megan Muehlberger, and Mallory Henthorn of Acro Explosion in Missouri also earned a bronze medal with an overall score of 77.187. Shields is from Grain Valley, Mo., Muehlberger is from Blue Spring, Mo, and Henthorn is from Independence, Mo.,

Senior elite mixed pair Dylan Inserra and Alex Osborne of WOGA hit a solid combined routine to score a 27.683 and an overall score of 76.203. Both Inserra and Osborne are from Richardson, Texas.

Jillian Giblin, Liselle Kitchens, and Hannah Busha of West Coast Training Center, junior elite women’s trio, received a score of 28.467 in their combined routine, and an overall score of 84.900. Giblin and Kitchens are from San Ramon, Calif., and Busha is from Danville, Calif. Junior elite women’s trio of Chelcea Riegel, Mackenzie Porter, and Kristin Weidmeier of Rising Star Acrobatic Club of Kearney, Mo., scored a 28.133 and an 83.633 all-around.
