INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Nov. 8, 2007 — “USA Gymnastics:  Behind the Team” follows the U.S. Women’s Team during its trip to New York City for media interviews and to promote the 2008 Tyson American Cup. These seven women won the team gold medal at the 2007 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. From arriving at the airport to an appearance on Today to backstage passes at the Broadway show Legally Blonde, fans are able to share the experience of the USA’s top gymnasts having fun outside of the gym in the newest episode of the online series available only on the AT&T blue room Team USA site (www.attblueroom.com/teamusa).

 

After a behind-the-scenes look at Today, the U.S. Women’s Team enjoyed the New York City experience by shopping, eating dinner, hanging out in a limousine and going to a Broadway show. In addition, they attended a meet-and-greet with the gymnastics community at Madison Square Garden for the 2008 Tyson American Cup.

 

The members of the U.S. Women’s Team at the 2007 World Championships were:  Ivana Hong of Blue Springs, Mo.; Shawn Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa; Nastia Liukin of Parker, Texas; Samantha Peszek of Indianapolis, Ind.; Alicia Sacramone of Winchester, Mass.; Bridget Sloan of Pittsboro, Ind., and Shayla Worley of Orlando, Fla.

 

USA Gymnastics:  Behind the Team” is a joint initiative of USA Gymnastics and AT&T.
