To the entire USA Gymnastics community:
Over the past few months, Cal Gymnastics Forever has worked in partnership with many groups to support the reinstatement of men’s and women’s gymnastics at the University of California, Berkeley. Throughout this entire period, USA Gymnastics has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us in creating strategy, fund-raising programs, and providing incredible morale support. We have been humbled by the tremendous response from the entire USA Gymnastics community around the country and from other parts of the world. The underlying message from this whole experience is that the sport of gymnastics has tremendous value, its people have great passion, and future generations deserve the same opportunities and experiences that so many of us have shared.
We await a decision from the U.C. Berkeley Chancellor Robert Birgeneau and will pass along the news as soon as we hear anything. We feel truly blessed to have the support of such a wonderful gymnastics family.
