The August Women’s Developmental Camp just ended at USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center, at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site. Forty-three athletes participated in the five-day camp with two-a-day training sessions led by 1988 Olympic champion Valeri Liukin, Developmental Team Coordinator and the national coaching staff.

The camp included many new gymnasts, as many of junior elites are back at their gym training for P&G Gymnastics Championships, which are scheduled for Aug. 13-16 in Indianapolis.

Each camp begins with physical abilities testing. Kylie Coen from Empire Gymnastics placed first in testing followed by Ann Huber of Rochester Gymnastics. Third place was Emma Boyd from Orlando Metro.

Konnor McClain from Revolution Gymnastics earned the most improved camper.

The next Developmental Camp will take place in September.
