STUTTGART, Germany, March 17, 2022 – Olympians and World team members, including eMjae Frazier (Erial, N.J./Parkettes National Gymnastics Training Center), Brody Malone (Belfast, Tenn./Stanford University), Konnor McClain (Cross Lanes, W.Va./WOGA Gymnastics) and Yul Moldauer (Wellington, Colo./5280 Gymnastics), headline the U.S. delegation to the DTB Pokal Team Challenge and Mixed Cup, which kicks off Friday at Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart, Germany. In total, 26 Junior and Senior National Team members – 13 men and 13 women – will participate across the three-day event.

Team Challenge

The Team Challenge will feature five-person teams representing their country in separate men’s and women’s junior and senior divisions. Up to four gymnasts per country may compete on each apparatus with the top-three scores counting toward the team tally. Additionally, the six highest-scoring gymnasts on each apparatus will advance to individual event finals. Only one athlete per country may qualify for each final.

The junior men’s Team Challenge competition is set for Friday, March 18 at 5 a.m. ET with the senior men’s division to follow at 1 p.m. ET. The junior women will take the floor Saturday, March 19 at 5 a.m. ET followed by the senior women at 8:45 a.m. ET. Saturday will also see the men’s junior and senior apparatus champions crowned, beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET. The women’s individual event finals will take place Sunday, March 21 at 5 a.m. ET.

Mixed Cup

Six-person teams from Canada, host-nation Germany, Italy and the U.S. will compete in the DTB Pokal Mixed Cup Sunday, March 21 at 9:30 a.m. ET. Gymnasts will compete on four chosen men’s apparatus and all four women’s apparatus. Two team members will perform on each event, and all scores will count. Standings after the first three rotations will determine seeds for the final round. Scores will reset to zero, and teams will face off head-to-head in gold/silver and bronze/fourth-place matchups.
