From November 11-15, 2019, the Rhythmic Program welcomed 34 athletes, their coaches, and 4 judges in Lake Placid for the first Elite High Performance Camp. This camp was patterned after the National Team High Performance Camp that took place a few days prior.

Emerging elite athletes qualified to participate in this camp based on their performances at the 2019 USA Gymnastics Championships. Total health and wellness of the body and mind are a crucial aspect of success and longevity in the sport. This camp dedicated three days to provide athletes and coaches with education and support in the areas of movement testing, strengthening exercises, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), utilizing dance as conditioning, physical recovery, mental skill sets, and the broader aspects of health including nutrition, hydration, and sleep.

Camp staff included Beth Darling, Jenna Tegtmeyer, Gloria Balague, Cynthia LaBella, Christina Brown, and Tracy Halloran. Click here for bios. This talented and dedicated group of staff poured out their hearts to make it a positive, high-energy camp that was a wealth of information for athletes and coaches alike.
