ABOUT THE COVERGIRL CLASSIC

The 2010 CoverGirl Classic is the final qualifying event for the 2010 Visa Championships, which is USA Gymnastics' national championship scheduled for Aug. 10-14 in Hartford, Conn. The CoverGirl Classic has two levels of competition: the International Division, with elite junior and senior competition; and the Challenge Division, for up-and-coming gymnasts.

Formerly known as the U.S. Classic, the CoverGirl Classic is known for having a highly competitive field featuring many top gymnasts. Last year's event featured 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Nastia Liukin and 2008 Olympic Team Silver Medalist Samantha Peszek, alongside three U.S. 2009 World Championship medalists. Other past competitors and champions of this event include:
