Question: What regulations does USA Gymnastics have on the clubs? |
|
USA Gymnastics is a membership organization. Membership, which is a privilege, is granted and revoked consistent with USA Gymnastics' Bylaws and other applicable policies and rules. Clubs can choose to become "member clubs" or "registered businesses" so long as they meet certain requirements, which can be found online.
If a club chooses not to become a member club or registered business, or if a club cannot or refuses to meet the requirements, then USA Gymnastics does not have any "jurisdiction" over them. It is a good idea when families are considering enrolling at a club, to learn whether that club is a USA Gymnastics member club or registered business. You can ask the club or look online at our Find A Gym page. |
