Question: Is it ok for me to observe a private lesson that my child has with his/her coach? |
|
Absolutely! If the coach or the gym doesn't allow an adult to watch his/her child during individual instruction, that should raise a red flag and be something that you as the parent should follow-up on immediately. It is a good idea before signing your child up for individual instruction to understand the gym's policies about privacy - some gyms have policies that are printed on their registration forms that say a parent must always be present at individual lessons or the session will be cancelled. That type of policy is in the best interests of both the athlete and the coach. |
