Question: I don't think my daughter trains enough to be competitive with others in her level. What is the typical training schedule for a Level 8 or other levels?

I found that every child is different, every gym is different, and every parent is different. More hours of training does not necessarily mean better results. Over training can mean trouble. How much training is enough and how much is not enough will be evaluated based on the results.

Business owners and coaches constantly review philosophies/beliefs, space available, time, expenses, income, equipment needs, etc... in order to provide for as many training hours to a client as they can. If your gymnast wants more training time, I would ask. If you, the parent, want more training time because you think it is necessary, I would discuss that with the coach privately so that the coach can consider it.

You can ask your child if they want to train more, but be ready for your child to start thinking you re being pushy and turning into a coach.
