Question: My child is put in time out at each of her gymnastics classes at least once over the past five classes. My child does not understand why and will not let me talk to the coach. What do I do?
I suggest that perhaps you have two options. Option 1 is to require your child to get the reason from the coach so that you know why she is being put in time out. Option 2 is to write a kind, respectful, and non-accusatory note that your child approves of, asking the coach to help your child understand. Choosing either option will usually solve the mystery and improvements can be made.
