Question: Hi There. My Daughter Is Currently 11years Old And A L6. She Began The Year As A L5. She Has Done Very Well With The Transition From L5 To L6 And Qualified from What I Understand For The "new" L7. I Am Understanding That At This Point She Would Have A Choice To Be In Either The "new" L5 Or L7. My Problem Is That Her Coach Is Now Trying To Sway The Whole Gym Into Prep Opt.

I Cannot Understand How That Could Possibly Benefit My Daughter Who Loves To Compete Loves The Challenge And Loves Being In The Gym ... All The Time She Has A Drive To Set Goals And Meet And Then Exceed Them And Really Would Like To Compete In College. Everything I Have Read About Prep Opt Is That Its A Wonderful Program For Kids Who Maybe Would Like To Do Other Sports And In Order To Do That Would Have To Give Up Gymnastics Or Children Who Do Not Want To Compete So Seriously But Still Enjoy Gymnastics.

This Is Not My Daughter And Im Very Confused As To Why The Coach Would Do This. Would There Be Any Benefit To This For Either My Daughter Or The Coach?

Thank You Stephanie K
