2012 USA Gymnastics Open Championships
and J.O. Optional Championships & Invitational

About the Event: USA Gymnastics is hosting the second annual nationwide championships for Rhythmic gymnastics Levels 4-6 (Open Championships) and the Junior Olympic Optional Championships and Invitational for Levels 7-10 and Junior Olympic Groups. We have partnered with ESPN Wide World of Sports to combine an outstanding competition opportunity in a family-friendly atmosphere

These competitions feature both individual, Regional Team champions (7-9), and Junior Olympic Group champions
Fact Sheets/ Directives: Please submit 1 copy of your athletes D1/D2 to the Registration Office at the host hotel. D1/D2 forms will ONLY be accepted during the Registration Office hours.

Waivers: Please submit coach and athlete Disney Waiver to the Registration office at the host hotel. A credential WILL NOT be given without this documentation, absolutely no exceptions.

Please note that there is a SLIGHT possibility some Level 6 competitors may be competing LATE June 11th. This will ONLY occur if we receive an overwhelming number of Level 6 participants.
A more detailed schedule will be posted on May 23.

We recommend the Open Championships participants arrive a day or two early to see the best Level 10s in the country and to take full advantage of the Walt Disney World Resort Vacation package options. A finalized meet schedule will be available in April, 2012.

Awards and Club Team Competition: Open Championships:
Individual awards will be given for each age group in each level.

JO Optional Championships and Invitational:
Individual awards will be given by level for Individuals and Junior Olympic Groups.
Regional team awards will be given by level (7-9).
Entry Fees: $130.00/gymnast
$100.00/group
Deadlines: Entry deadline is May 21, 2012.
Late entries WILL NOT be accepted, absolutely NO exceptions.
Refunds will ONLY be granted due to athlete injury. In this case, official documentation from a physician is required.
Awards Structure:
  1. Participation gift (event t-shirt): All participants
  2. Awards ceremonies: The final award ceremony each day per level will include a special Disney guest for awards presentation and for photos with all competitors from that level (under the condition that athletes and parents respect the process established by USA Gymnastics for these sessions)
  3. Awards: Event medals by event; trophies for the All-Around
  4. Age Divisions: The top 12 in each age division per the Rules and Policies

  5. In the event that the number of participants in an age group is 30 gymnasts or more, the age group will be divided into sub-groups based on age and each subgroup awarded.
  6. No Team Awards given
