Members of the women's trampoline team include Dakota Earnest of Plains, Texas/Acrospirits, Nani Vercruyssen of Honolulu, Hawaii/Hawaii Academy, Savannah Vinsant of Lafayette, La./Trampoline and Tumbling Express, Alaina Williams of Norman, Okla./Acrospirits, and Alicia Powder of Ladera Ranch, Calif./World Elite Gymnastics (alternate).
Vercruyssen, Earnest, and Vinsant competed for Team USA in the three-up, three-count final.
Vercruyssen was first up in competition for the U.S. and earned a final score of 50.325. Earnest scored a 50.215, followed by Vinsant with the highest U.S score of 52.300. The fourth-place finish is the highest for the women's trampoline team since 2005 when they won the bronze medal.
Competition continues tomorrow with men's and women's synchronized trampoline qualifications at 5 a.m. (Group 1) and 7:20 a.m. (Group 4) ET, followed by women's double-mini trampoline and tumbling team finals at 1 p.m. ET.
