The Trampoline & Tumbling program is looking for nominations of Pro members to serve in the positions listed below. Please e-mail nominations to mobaka@usagym.org, or fax to 317-237-5069, using the nomination form provided, by March 30, 2011. The criteria for nomination and duties of each position are listed per the Rules & Policies.
1. J.O. Program Committee Chair
Nomination
- Nominated by the Nominating Committee.
- Criteria for Nomination:
- Must be a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, at least 21 years old, and in good standing for at least four (4) consecutive years prior to the nomination.
- Must be actively involved in the Program as a coach, judge or administrator.
- Must have coached a Level 10 finalist at J.O. Championships.
The duties of the TJOPC Chair, include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Organize and conduct the meetings and conference calls of the TJOPC.
- Secure, correlate and disseminate agenda items for the annual meetings and conference calls in advance of all meetings and calls.
- Secure a meeting room and coordinate with USA Gymnastics on meeting times and advise the TJOPC of these arrangements in advance.
- Play an active role in the various TJOPC sub-committees, if any, and coordinate their reports.
- Provide leadership for a visible, viable relationship with USA Gymnastics, the TPC, the TJOPC and other related groups.
2. J.O. Program Committee Members
Nomination
- Nominated by the Nominating Committee.
- Criteria for nomination
- Must be a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, at least 21 years old, and in good standing for at least two (2) consecutive years prior to the nomination.
- Must be actively involved in the Program as a coach, judge or administrator.
- J. O. program development.
- Management of state and regional J.O. activities.
- J. O. athlete training and development.
- Associated scheduling.
- Annually review and revise sections of the Rules & Policies and Code of Points pertaining to the J.O. program and submit them to the Program Office.
3. Technical Committee Chair
Nomination
- Nominated by the Nominating Committee.
- Criteria for Nomination:
- Must be a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, at least 21 years old, and in good standing for at least four (4) consecutive years prior to the nomination.
- Must be actively involved in the Program as a judge.
- Must have an FIG brevet in at least one of the disciplines and be at least Category 1 in the other two.
- Organize and conduct the meetings and conference calls of the TTC.
- Secure, correlate and disseminate agenda items for the annual meetings and conference calls in advance of all meetings and calls.
- Secure a meeting room and coordinate with USA Gymnastics on meeting times and advise the TTC of these arrangements in advance.
- Play an active role in the various TTC sub-committees, if any, and coordinate their reports.
- Provide leadership for a visible, viable relationship with USA Gymnastics, the TPC, the TTC and other related groups.
4. Technical Committee Members
Nomination
- Nominated by the Nominating Committee.
- Criteria for nomination:
- Must be a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, at least 21 years old, and in good standing for at least two (2) consecutive years prior to the nomination.
- Must be actively involved in the Program and hold a minimum of Category 1 in the discipline he/she wishes to represent.
- Education and certification of trampoline and tumbling judges in the United States.
- Development and distribution of judges' educational materials.
- Management of state, regional and national judging activities.
- Work in conjunction with the TEPC and TJOPC to interpret, develop and maintain the Code of Points and Rules & Policies for both the J.O. and Elite programs.
- Selection of qualified judges for national events and recommendations to the IAC and TPC for international competitions.
- Associated scheduling.
- Annually review and revise sections of the Rules & Policies and Code of Points pertaining to judging and submit them to the Program Office.
