Q) What was the interpretation of the unstable landing rule that was handed down at the world championships?

A) The FIG trampoline and tumbling technical committee stood by the decision that in tumbling and double mini trampoline if an athlete that falls and does not take two or more weight bearing steps before falling or touching any thing other than the feet would lose the skill. If the athlete fights gravity and does take two or more weight bearing steps prior to the fall that would get the skill but would receive the appropriate landing deduction.

Q) Now that female athletes are allowed to wear a full length unitard of any color will men be allowed to wear dark pants?

A) No, only female competitors may wear the dark colors.

Q) With the new rule that you must have a whip in the second pass in level 7 tumbling and it clearly states that it must be skill through two through six. What would be the consequence if they performed it as the seventh skill and connected the whip to the eighth element which is also a somersault?

A) The competitor would receive a 1.0 deduction for not meeting or exceeding pass requirements as stated in the code of points.

Q) Since difficulty has been added to level 5 and 6 double mini trampoline did the mobility and qualifying scores change?

A) Yes, the new scores reflect the addition of difficulty as level 5 and 6
