
The three additions were: Glen Ishino of Santa Ana, Calif./University of California - Berkeley; Akash Modi of Morganville of N.J./Monmouth Gymnastics; and Brandon Wynn of Voorhees, N.J./Ohio State University. The other four named after the conclusion of the Winter Cup were: Adrian de los Angeles of Long Beach, Calif./University of Michigan; Sean Melton of Orlando, Fla./U.S. Olympic Training Center; Eddie Penev of Rochester, N.Y./Stanford University; and Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y./U.S. Gymnastics Development Center. The members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team are: Jake Dalton of Reno, Nev./University of Oklahoma; Jonathan Horton of Houston/Cypress Academy; Danell Leyva of Miami/Universal Gymnastics; Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./University of Michigan; and John Orozco of the Bronx, N.Y./U.S. Olympic Training Center. The three alternates to the Olympic team are: Chris Brooks of Houston/Cypress Academy; Alex Naddour of Gilbert, Ariz./USA Youth Fitness Center; and Steven Legendre of Port Jefferson, N.Y./University of Oklahoma.
The seven gymnasts who were added to the team after the Winter Cup were determined using the following criteria: the two top-ranked all-around athletes who were not already on the senior national team; two based on the National Team Points System; two athletes selected by the Men's Program Committee; and one selected by the national team coordinator. The U.S. Men's Team will be determined again based on performances at the 2013 U.S. Championships.
