Leonard Palmer, the inventor of Palmer Power Springs floor springs system, has died a few days ago. He was 86 years old.
Leonard Palmer was the 1943 Illinois State Varsity Tumbling Champion from J Sterling Morton High School in Cicero, Ill. He founded Palmer's Gymnastics in Bloomingdale, Ill. He had been the tumbling coach at Palmer's Gymnastics for many years. His invention of Palmer Power Springs has changed the practice and execution of floor exercise by minimizing impact stress and enhancing flight elements.
Neil Palmer follows his father as president of both Palmer's Gymnastics and Palmer Power Springs.
