The nomination deadline for the Acrobatic Gymnastics Program Chairman and National Elite Committee Chairmen has passed.

Selena Peco was the sole nominee for Program Chair. Per the Acrobatic Gymnastics Program Operating Code "if only one nomination for a National Officer is received, the nominee will be elected by acclamation". Therefore, Selena Peco will begin her term as Program Chair beginning September 1, 2012. Congratulations to Selena.

As you know, Selena has been serving in dual roles as both Junior Olympic Committee Chair and interim Program Chair since the resignation of Bob Meier. Selena will resign her position as J.O. Committee Chair when she begins her official term as Program Chair. The current J.O. Committee Chair's term of office runs through September 1, 2014.

Per the Operating Code, because the remainder of the J.O. Committee Chair's term exceeds one year, election procedures shall be followed. CLICK HERE to download the nomination form for the Junior Olympic Committee Chairman. The deadline for submitting nominations for this position is May 31, 2012.

There were two nominees put forward for National Elite Committee Chairman, Marie Annonson and Juli Eicher. Resumes of the two nominees will be posted on the Acro website by June 1 and voting will take place by ballot at the National Championships in Detroit in July.
