This application information is for foreign sanctions only (those events including participation by foreign athletes, coaches and/or judges).

A foreign athlete, coach, or judge is defined as an individual without U.S. citizenship who resides in a country other than the United States.

Note:

• All foreign athletes, coaches, and judges must have a valid USA Gymnastics Foreign Athlete or Foreign Professional Membership at least two weeks before the event in order to participate.
• Approval of this sanction request allows a club to host a club level invitational. Competition involving country versus country is not allowed.

How to apply for foreign sanction:

• Print the Request for Foreign Sanction
• Be sure to read the instructions on page two of the form
• Complete the form
• Include payment
• Mail or fax the forms as indicated
• Sanction requests must be received in the Member Services office a minimum of 120 days prior to the start of the event. A rush fee of $50.00 will apply for any sanction received less than 120 days prior to the event. A rush fee of $100.00 will apply for any sanction received less than 60 days prior to the event.
• After applying for a Foreign Sanction, work with foreign athletes, coaches, and judges to submit applications for Foreign Membership.

How to apply for Foreign Athlete, Coach, Judge:

• Complete application form
• Return via fax/mail at least 45 days prior to the event

Note: The sanction approval form and meet report form will be printed in the USA Gymnastics office. You will not be able to print these documents online. Sanctions are printed in the USA Gymnastics office 2 times a week. The forms are sent to the club address listed on the sanction request form. Be sure to complete the online application at least 7 days prior to your event so you can receive your materials in time for the event. We are not able to provide a certificate of sanction if you apply online the day of your meet.
