Faces In The Gym - June 2011
 Julia C. Grubbs, 14 years old from Mechanicsville, Va., took first place in her age division at the VA VAOP All Stars Meet which took place in May at The Sports Booth. Her combined score was 37.225 This is the second consecutive year Julia has taken first place overall. Julia is a member of the Oak Knoll Middle School Gymnastics. She is an active member of All American Gymnastics of Ashland, Va.. Pictured from left to right are Coach Becky Swords, Julia Grubbs and Coach Sandra Hemler.

 Abby Allain, 11 years old from Hammond, La., placed first in all events and was named the Jr. B all-around champion at the USA Gymnastics Open Championships. She is the 2011 Level 6 Louisiana State All-Around champion (10 year old) with a score of 38.550 and placed first on vault, bars, beam and floor. Abby trains with the coaching staff at North Shore Gymnastics. Her team, the North Shore Flairs, was awarded the Club Champion award at the USA Gymnastics Open Championships.

 Ellie Allain, 7 years old from Hammond, La., placed third in the all-around at the USA Gymnastics Open Championships. She is the 2011 Level 4 Louisiana State bars champion (7 year old). In 2010, she swept her age division at the Louisiana State Championships. Ellie trains with the coaching staff at North Shore Gymnastics. Her team, the North Shore Flairs, was awarded the Club Champion award at the USA Gymnastics Open Championships.
