Meredith Daniel and Summer Stewart are Level 8 gymnasts. They both made the Alabama state team and traveled to Covington, Ky., on January 9th to compete for Alabama. Meredith finished 5th on bars and floor and 11th in the all-around while Summer finished 4th on bars, 9th on floor and 16th in the all-around. Both girls take gymnastics at Jasper Elite in Jasper, Ala., and are coached by Kendra Jackson |
Lexy Rieger, 11, won the All Around title at The National judges cup with a score of 36.850. She took 1st on beam and vault. She trains at Top Flight Gymnastics in Crestview, Ky. |
Grace Evans, 8, is a Level 4 from Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta. She won the Level 4 state title with an all-around score of 37.975. Grace placed first on bars, beam, and floor. Grace started gymnastics one year ago and is coached by Jacobo Giron, Lorilee Miller, and Sennie Clark. |
Doug Blanton, a Level 10 team member at Sterling Gymnastics, recently competed in his first home meet of the season earning first place on high bar and second place on rings. He is coached by Bob Donahue, Liz Gonzalez, and Tim Lauring. |
Meagan Groel is a Level 4 gymnast at 5280 Gymnastics. This was Meagan's first year competing and not only did she win the 2009 All-Around State Title with a 37.900, she took first place in every event! Those who know her are very proud of her, especially because last summer she was so nervous about competition that she was always saying "I'll practice, but I won't compete.” She is coached by Natasha and Yuriu Tokarev. |
Mathew Davis of Orlando Metro placed first all-around in the 7 to 9 age division with a score of 89.35. He had the overall high score of all Level 6 gymnasts. He won the coveted "Globe Trophy" at the 2010 Sand Dollar Whitlow held at the Disney/ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. |
Adeline Sabados, 8, is a Level 7 gymnast competing for Adrenaline gymnastics this season. This is her second year in gymnastics and first season competing so she is excited to earn some medals! She is coached by Steve Sterner and Jackie Steeples. |
