Faces In The Gym - December 2010

Amanda Halterman, 9 years old from Huntington Beach, Calif., just finished up Level 5 for Azarian Gymnastics, located in Aliso Viejo. She placed first at each meet in the all-around for 9 year olds, with her highest score a 38.30. Her Level 5 Team was UNDEFEATED this season! (2nd year in a row).

Addisson Jones, 10 years old from Fresno, Calif., competed at the 2010 Northern California Level 5 State Championships and took first place on vault, floor and in the all-around and second place on beam. She trains at Gymnastics Beat and is coached by Helena Lambert and Melissa Persons.

Jordan McCoy, 9 years old from Tampa, Fla., was the winner of the all-around at the Florida State Meet held in Daytona Beach, November 20, 2010. She won first place on beam and floor. Jordan's total score was 38.05. She's coached by Dan Petritis, Christian Gochenour and Rick DeSantis of Stars Gymnastics.

Bailee and Olivia Hurd are Level 6's from Palm Coast Florida. They both placed second at the Level 6 State Meet. Bailee is the beam and vault state champion, and Olivia is vault and floor state champion. Both are coached by Kelly Hesbeens.

The Desert Lights Gymnastics Team, from Chandler, Ariz., won the Arizona Level 6 State team title! This is the sixth consecutive year that Desert Lights has won the Level 6 team championship! Gymnasts from left to right are: Rachel Pulsifer, Jaylyn Bogle, Mackenzie Barile, Hattie Patton, Cassie Husnu, Megan Thompson, Aubrey Zazula, Julia Gilan, Serena Sedillo and Madison Grayston.
