Plan to get your community engaged by having everyone turn upside down, joining gymnasts, coaches and fans across the country as we celebrate the greatest sport in the world.
Last year, it was the handstand, and this year, it's anything goes.
Get coaches, friends, classmates and parents involved. Flip, roll, or cartwheel; back hip circle, handstand or flip into the pit. The possibilities are endless. Just take a picture and share it, along with how many participated, on the USA Gymnastics Facebook page.
Invite your local TV newscaster to your gym on National Gymnastics Day and show the world what it is like to do gymnastics at your gym.
More information will be coming soon...

USA Gymnastics will do their part on National Gymnastics Day, as they will challenge its local member clubs to host introductory clinics and events on September 22, 2012. These events will reach approximately 40,000 kids - an increase of 80 percent over USA Gymnastics' youth engagement last year.

Who: Gymnasts, families, friends and enthusiasts from across the country.
Why: To celebrate National Gymnastics Day and build awareness of gymnastics by 'Turning the World Upside Down' simultaneously. This year's theme is also a fun way to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network, which benefits children battling illnesses in each club's local community.
What: As part of your National Gymnastics Day celebration at your gym, organize all interested students, families and friends to go upside down in any form (handstand, cartwheel, flips) at the designated time, take a picture and share it on the USA Gymnastics Facebook page.
Where: Gym clubs may host their activities at the gym, a local park, the local Children's Miracle Network hospital, or as part of a community event. This is a great chance to be creative and take advantage of what could be successful in your community.
When: Saturday, September 22, at 1 p.m. ET. It is important that all 'Upside Down' participants be inverted at the same time across the country. Activities can be planned leading up to and after the attempt, but we must 'Turn the World Upside Down' together on the dot.
How: Spread the news to your club's students and families, share the information with the local media, schools and children's groups.
Don't worry about how to organize it. Member Club Services will have sample action plans that may be used as a template. It really can be as simple as having your students show up 30 minutes before the event; practice the simultaneous inversion a few times; and right before the attempt, have cameras ready, start the countdown and have them go upside in unison at the stroke of 1 p.m. ET.
You will need to count how many gymnasts participating in going upside down, so we can let everyone know the total across the nation. We need your club to log on to the USA Gymnastics Facebook page and visit the 'Turn the World Upside Down' app to submit the photo, the number of people turning upside down, the name of your club and your city and state on September 22. You're also welcome to share your photos and videos on the USA Gymnastics Facebook timeline.
Success: We will announce the number of nationwide participants on our website at usagym.org, as well as on Facebook and Twitter, and we'll send participating clubs an email with the news!
