A member of the 2010 USA World Championships team, Christopher Brooks returns to the world stage for the second time in his career. In 2010, at his first World Championships, he helped Team USA to a fourth-place finish and placed sixth in the horizontal bar individual event final.
Brooks, who trains in Houston, Texas, at Cypress Gymnastics with coach Tom Meadows, served as team captain at the University of Oklahoma in 2009 during his senior year of college. As captain, Brooks led his team to a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The next year at the 2010 Visa Championships in Harford, Conn., Brooks won the U.S. horizontal bar title and the parallel bars silver medal on his way to a fourth-place finish in the all-around, earning a spot on the World Team.
This past August in Saint Paul, Minn., Brooks finished fourth in the all-around competition, second on high bar and third on the parallel bars at the Visa Championships and earned a berth on the team headed to Tokyo as the alternate. Brooks is a member of Team Hilton HHonors.
