NEW Educational Online course

U200 Development Coaches Course: Sports Science is a video online course that will focus on the biomechanics, nutrition, psychology, and injury prevention for an entry level competitive coach
(Levels 1-4).

This course is targeted for recreational, pre-team and beginning compulsory coaches. This course will help school age and Level 1-4 coaches better understand their athletes and better prepare, and run safe and successful workouts. It provides a foundation of sports science knowledge for all school age and level 1-4 coaches.

U200 covers sports science for the Level 1-4 athlete:

  • Nutrition,
  • Psychology
  • Biomechanics
  • Injury prevention
The course will take approximately three hours to complete.

  • $25 for Audit only (a certificate or university credit is unavailable to non members)
  • $30 for Non Members (includes a complimentary Instructor Membership - 18 years and older - A background check is required)

  • Course attendees must be a minimum of 14 years old.
Additional Course Information
There may be up to 72 hours lag time before your course registration is activated. You should receive an email from USA Gymnastics granting you access. You will return to U200, log in with user name and personal password—which you created, and then have access to "BEGIN HERE."

If you do not receive an activation notice within 72 hours, please contact USA Gymnastics Educational Services. You will have access to the course for 30 days from the date of activation and may access the course as often as you wish during that period.

USA Gymnastics University
The U200 Development Coaches Course: Sports Science is a required course in the School of Competitive: Women's and an elective in the other schools within the USA Gymnastics University.

Upon completion of the course, members can print out a certificate of course completion on their USA Gymnastics "My Membership" page.
