Fjordholm is the oldest of four daughters born to Jarle (chief engineer for Norwegian Cruise Lines) and Jann Mary Fjordholm. Siblings include twins Anne and Tove (13) and Trine (7); all participate in gymnastics. Marie's dad was a gymnast for Norway. Her mother was a cheerleader for the Miami Dophins. Fjordholm enjoyw literature and she is interested in business or journalism/communications. Her role model is Lance Armstrong because he never gives up, even with all of his trials and tribulations.
